The in terdisciplinary approach has been  used in health care for a long t ime and has shown benefits for both practitioners in the team and the patient receiving the treatment .   But what exactly is an interdisciplinary team, and who can be part of one?  The  Core Medical Group   provides a comprehensive definition to explain interdisciplinary teamwork:   “ Interdisciplinary teamwork is a complex process involving two or more health professionals with complementary backgrounds and skills. In this process, team members share common health goals in assessing, planning, or evaluating patient care.
